Intersection
Associates is an audio-visual
and video production facility specializing in materials for education, training
and broadcast. The
organization
concentrates on documentaries that explore issues of human behavior, and on
productions that help to promote the work of organizations and institutions
engaged in non-profit and educational activities.
Past productions include
work for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.),
Inter-American Foundation, AT&T Family Fund, Center for Health and Global
Environment (Harvard Medical School), National Audubon Society, U.S. Agency For
International Development, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, Harvard
Business School, INC. Magazine, U.S. Administration On Aging, March Of Dimes,
American Red Cross Blood Services, International Physicians for the Prevention
of Nuclear War, Facing History and Ourselves National Foundation, and many
others. In recent years, members of Intersection
Associates have worked in the Middle East, the Soviet Union, Central and South
America, Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and numerous locations throughout the
United States.
The work of Intersection
Associates has been recognized through awards and citations from the Ann Arbor
Film Festival, New England Film Festival, Regional Cine Eagle, American Film
Festival Finalist, Athens International Video Festival, American National Red Cross
Communication For Excellence Awards, and the Sinking Creek Film Festival. Intersection has also received the
National Media Award for education and training videotapes from the Retirement
Research Foundation (a John D. MacArthur foundation).
Media productions have,
in whole or in part, been included in a variety of local television programs
(over 60 stations) as well as regional and national programs, such as MacNeill-Lehrer
NewsHour, Nightline, The Donahue Show, The Today Show, The Discovery Channel,
The Learning Channel, Turner Broadcast,, Israel Television, Gosteleradio(USSR) and WGBH-Boston.
